LIvVE.com

LIvVE.com finally made it easy to work with audio settings. Just go to the top menu bar.

Select....Tools....then you can select either microphone or volume settings.

To improve sound quality (broadband connection...ie. cable/dsl modem)....go to main paltalk window

    1. Go to "Setup" in top menu and click on "Preferences"

    2. Select...3) Larger Packet Size and 4) Longer Delay

 

To improve sound quality (dial-up connection)....go to main paltalk window

    1. Go to "Setup" in top menu and click on "Preferences"

    2. Select 5) Half Duplex

    3. You may also need to select 2) Reduce to 8-bit sound

 

If your using a router/firewall....you may need to select 6)Firewall/Home Network Voice Support

Remember to click "Apply" after making any changes.

 

Turn off camera microphone

Right Click on speaker icon....Left click on "Adjust Audio Properties"

Select "Audio" tab

Under "Sound recording" section....select your audio card under default device and then click "Apply"

 

Place a Speaker icon on your Taskbar

Go to....Start....Settings....Control Panel

Open "Sounds and Audio Devices"

In "Volume" tab....place a check in "Place volume icon in the taskbar"....click "Apply"

 

 

Audio help programs:

For all of you that are still having trouble with the audio. Here is an outstanding program for you.

This program will set to default all your audio settings.

To download this program....just click on the red link below.

AudioC

Once it starts to download make sure that you write down the path to where it will be stored on your computer.

Once the program is downloaded open it up. And use the image below as a reference.

Click the Set Defaults in lower left corner. Next click on options on the tool bar and make sure all 3 boxes have

a check mark in them. If you did everything correctly you now have a green microphone on your task bar.

Once you set defaults the only thing you may have to do is adjust the microphone volume if you are to loud.

Note!!! If you are having trouble locating this file.

1. Click Start, move your cursor to Find, Click, Files and Folders. Next type in the box AudioC.exe click find Once the file in located right click on it and then click open and follow the directions above.

Andrea Audio Commander

Audio Commander Setup (New Version)

Once you have downloaded the Audio Commander program or have received it as a file on mplayer and you have it open.

Use the images below as a reference for the program setup.

 

1. On the left side, click on the 1st circle (under ANDREA)

and it will set the defaults for this program.

2. Click on the 2nd box on the left side and you will see this window.

Once in this window make sure every box is checked as shown. Click apply and OK.

3. If you have followed the directions above you should now see a green microphone on your task bar. If it is there try and talk.

4. If you are successful in talking but you are to loud. It will be necessary for you to pull down the volume bar on the Microphone in the record window. (Note: 2nd from left)

5. Note; If you can not adjust the volume on your microphone it will be necessary for you to find your boost, mic gain etc..etc and disable it.
